I love questions like this, what is the most direct route to something we want? I talk about the main block to happiness in our lives and what to do about it. This is the same block that keeps our life stuck in certain patterns we can't seem to break away from. Let's break out. 

Spoiler Alert:

We are trained in this life to believe that happiness comes later, only when we get something. If I can only get that job, that relationship, that amount of money, that house, that family, then I'll be happy. 

Happiness doesn't work like that. Just think about your own experience, have you every been sustainably happy chasing all these things outside yourself? Just think about all the people out there chasing all these things, are they happy? 

So why do we keep doing it? That's the definition of insanity. The problem is that almost all of society operates with a maladaptive approach to happiness always keeping it in the future, and never experiencing it right now. 

Let's be sane. Happiness starts in the present moment. This show talks about how. 

It's about first realizing that right now is perfectly okay. We don't have to go fix and change everything so we can be happy. Can we find what we are happy about right now, enjoy that, accept the rest and then move toward more of our happiness?

Love is a choice that can radically alter what we experience and what comes to us in life. It's biology, and it's physics. Everything that appears in our experience is based on our energetic relationship with it. Find this, work with this, and our reality changes.

In this way we use love as a strategy. As I describe in this episode, every relationship we have allows us to see something about who we are and what we are holding. Usually this comes from our relationship challenges. When we see these things and work when them we move into a place of more love in our lives and a much more amazing relationship. 

But we don't need to wait for that big fight or blow up in the relationship in order to see what we need to find. We go looking directly at our relationships at any time, before anything "bad" happens.

Just sit down and connect with the relationship of the person. Feel the energy in your body. Feel what emotions come up. ask yourself if you feel unconditional love for this person in this relationship. If you don't, if you wish the person could be different in any way, you have some resistance, and you will have more joy when you let this resistance go by sitting and breathing with it. 

That is all that you need to do to have much better relationships with everything.

In this episode, I explain the point of life in 20 minutes. I swear. 

It's not going to make sense to everyone, and that's fine. We could obviously talk about this for hours, but this podcast comes from a direct spiritual insight that zapped me during a meditation a few weeks ago. I turned on the mic and spoke it. 

We're supposed to love ourselves. How? We are supposed to love others. How? Why don't we feel more love all the time? What does this all practically mean? 

I answer those questions. The answer emerges once we realize what Love really is and why it feels so good. This underlying reason makes love more accessible and applicable than most of us realize. 

Try the practice. Let me know your experience. 

Spoiler: Everything is energy and that energy contains love. If we want to experience this in our lives we need to choose to see this everywhere and act on this from inside of us. We need to choose to bring this energy into ourselves and through ourselves with specific practices, like the one I talk about in the episode. This is the most efficient way to bring more love into our lives NOW and create more in the future. This is how it fills up our life.
